In More Detail

Each Benefit, Explained

Professional Expertise

Mechanical watchmaking is a specialist trade. The horologists at Manee Horology have completed formal training in movement servicing and repair, and have accumulated years of bench experience across a wide range of calibres. This means they can identify problems accurately, avoid unnecessary interventions, and carry out the work correctly the first time.

  • Formal horology training, not self-taught practice
  • Experience across Swiss, Japanese, and vintage European movements
  • Honest about scope — we refer out what we cannot do well

Proper Workshop Equipment

Good outcomes require appropriate tools. Our studio is equipped with ultrasonic cleaning equipment, an electronic timing machine, and a dry pressure tester for water resistance verification. We use watchmaker-grade lubricants matched to each movement's tolerances, not general-purpose oils.

  • Ultrasonic cleaning bath for component-level cleaning
  • Timing machine testing in multiple positions
  • Correct lubricants for each movement specification

Client Service Quality

We do not use technical complexity to avoid clear communication. When we assess a watch, we explain what we find in plain language, describe the options, and let the owner decide how to proceed. Nothing starts without agreement, and the final result is documented in writing.

  • Plain-language assessment, no unnecessary jargon
  • Agreement before work — scope and cost confirmed
  • Written job record provided on collection

Transparent Pricing

Our service prices are published and reflect the actual work involved. If an assessment reveals that additional work is needed beyond the original scope, we discuss it with you and confirm the revised cost before proceeding. The price at collection will not differ from what was agreed.

  • Published starting prices for each service type
  • No additional charges without prior discussion and agreement
  • Cost estimate provided before any work begins

Results and Outcomes

The goal of a watch service is a movement that keeps accurate time reliably for several years. We test and confirm this before the watch leaves. Our service warranty reflects that commitment — not as a marketing phrase, but as an actual follow-through if something does not perform as expected.

  • Timing machine verification before every collection
  • Written warranty on completed work
  • Issues related to our work addressed without additional charge

What You Won't Find Elsewhere

Pre-Work Written Assessment for Heritage Pieces

Before touching any older or family-owned watch, we prepare a written assessment covering condition, scope of recommended work, parts required, and estimated cost. This is agreed and signed before the job proceeds — a level of documentation uncommon in a workshop setting.

Conservation-First Approach to Restoration

We default to retaining original components wherever they remain serviceable, rather than replacing parts reflexively. Where replacement is needed, we source period-appropriate components for vintage pieces. This is a deliberate choice to preserve the watch's character.

Remote Clients Welcome

Not everyone can visit the studio in person. We work with clients who send pieces by insured courier — from elsewhere in Thailand and occasionally from abroad. Initial discussion by email or phone, followed by documented assessment on receipt and progress updates throughout.

Unhurried Studio Pace

We do not take on more work than we can give proper attention to. We set realistic timelines and hold to them. If you want your watch repaired in two days, we are not the right studio. If you want it done carefully and correctly, we are.
